is the founder, CEO and leader architect, born in lisbon in 1991.

with a degree in architecture from the architecture university of lisbon, in 2014 lived in both norway and denmark for a year, where she collaborated with two internationally renowned architectural studios – grasp arkitekter and white arkitekter.

in 2015 decides to return to portugal, this time to the city of porto, where she spent 2 years and took the masters degree in architecture in the architecture university of porto.

between 2018 and 2020, collaborated with the frederico valsassina studio.

mafalda founded MMstudio in 2021, where she develops projects with diverse scales in diverse fields, with a focus on rehabilitation in general, restaurants and single family housing as well as constructions from the beginning.

MMstudio is an architectural studio, with the complement of construction and real estate investment consulting based in lisbon, portugal.

our aim is to provide support and solutions to a continuously evolving market, where geographic boundaries are inexistent and where new spatial and technological solutions are sought.

we focus on architectural projects across their lifecycle, including concept design, schematic design, licensing project, execution project and on-site technical assistance.

meeting clients’ expectations, while at the same time remaining truth to the location needs, is pivotal to what we do and one of architecture’s biggest challenges.

therefore, from an early concept design phase we seek to optimize clients’ expectations against realistic architectural solutions, subject to external approvals that can sometimes limit us.

to guarantee the quality of the project, cost control and in order to meet the agreed deadlines, the entire process is coordinated by MMstudio, in a close relationship with all the involved stakeholders including the client, the team of engineers, suppliers and contractors.

we therefore also provide construction budgets, work scheduling and on-site technical assistance.
